Brenda Crum Gosnell, 35, of Snake Hollow Road, Greeneville, passed away Sunday at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Ms. Gosnell was a homemaker.
She was a member of Jackson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include a very special friend: Mark Cansler; one daughter: Whitney Dawn Crum; a son: Nathaniel Lynn Crum; a stepdad: Jerry Dalton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Diane and Mike Reed, Carolyn and Roger Wilburn, and Jamie Carter; one brother: Roger Carter; her grandmother: Maudie Carter; her aunts and uncles: Rankin and Barbara Gregg, John and Diane Gregg, Nancy and Ron Goodstein, Teresa and Billy Valentine, George and Brenda Gregg, Mike Gregg, Sam Gregg, Dave Gregg, Linda Gregg, Gil Hahn, Charles and Virginia Carter, Richard and Tracy Carter, Lesley Carter, Lemuel Carter, Alma and Jimmy Carter, Linda and Don Choate, and Barbara Carter; her nieces and nephews: Gretchen Ottinger, Cody Wilburn, Wesley DeWitt, Matthew Simerley, and Taylor Foshie, and a special nephew, James Edward Johnston; a great-aunt: Mary Gregg; and her special friends: Danny Waddell and Brenda Haney.
She was the daughter of the late James and Shirley Gregg Carter and was preceded in death by her grandparents: Frances and Tulin Holt Gregg and Robert "Bob" Carter; four uncles: Bill and Fred Gregg, and Bobby and Billy Carter; two aunts: Betty Gregg Valentine and Martha Carter; and a great-niece: Sheyenne Lashea Johnston.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Jackson Chapel FWB Church with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Tony Darnell and the Rev. Roger Dalton will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Hal Sisk, Sammy Valentine, Billy Valentine, Anthony Gregg, Keith Gregg, Shawn Gregg, Dillon Hahn, and James Johnston.
The family extends a special thanks to the ER staff at Takoma Regional Hospital and to the ICU staff at Johnson City Medical Center.
