Daniel W. Hodges

Died: Sept. 26, 2012

Daniel W. Hodges, age 61, of Jones Street, Greeneville, the Baileyton community, died Wednesday evening at his home.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.

The past few years he had devoted his life to being a grandfather.

Survivors include one daughter: Misty Jennings; one son and daughter-in-law: Dwayne and Nicky Hodges; five grandchildren: Megan, Robbie, and Brittany Jennings, and Tidus and Chance Hodges; five sisters; several nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law: Viola Garber.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Virginia Hodges on April 29, 2010; and his parents, Raymond and Viola Hodges.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Zion Cemetery at Baileyton. The Rev. Bob Simpson will officiate.

Family and friends will be pallbearers.

The body will be taken to the residence on Friday, where friends may call at their convenience.

Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
