MORRISTOWN -- Jonathan Young, age 29, of Bulls Gap, went to be with the Lord Sunday at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.
He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
He was a member of the Bulls Gap Volunteer Fire Department and Town of Mosheim No. 11.
Jonathan was a third degree Mason in Lodge No. 764, F&AM, in Bulls Gap.
He was saved and baptized in 1993.
Jonathan never met a stranger. He greeted people with a warm smile and lived his life to help others.
He was preceded in death by his father: Bobby Young, grandparents: Noah and Nellie Young, John Bell, and John Green; great-grandparents: Arvelle and Bessie Sweet; and best friends: Lee Ray and Lee Shiflet.
He is survived by his wife: Heather Green Young; his daughter: Ramsey Alizabeth Young; his son: Brody Lane Young; his mother and father: Nadine and Steve Hopkins; his mother-in-law: Debbie Green and her friend, Jimmy Shelton; his father-in-law and stepmother-in-law: Stanley and Mary Green; two brothers: Joe (Kara) Young and Jesse Young and his girlfriend, Summer Fawcett; a niece: Emily Young; a nephew: Mason Young; his maternal grandparents: Denville and Della Patterson, Edith and James Southerland, and Paul and Faye Hopkins; his paternal grandparents: Betty Green; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown with a Masonic service at 8 p.m. Bulls Gap Lodge No. 764 will officiate.
Funeral services will follow the Masonic service with the Rev. Richard Long officiating.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in Tieke Cemetery in Bulls Gap for an 11 a.m. graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Brent Gregg, Chuckey Johnson, Jesse Williams, Allen "Big Al" Long, Jeff Sexton and Chris Sexton.
