Arthur A. Scharhag, 74, of Greeneville, passed away Monday evening at his home.
Mr. Scharhag was a professional executive chef and a member of the National Chef Association.
He was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church.
He was a great person, a great man, and a great husband, with remarkable character.
Mr. Scharhag was a remarkable, excellent chef.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years: Beatriz Scharhag; his mother: Katharina Scharhag; a brother and sister-in-law: Gunter Scharhag and Cristiana Scharhag; a nephew and niece: Bill and Marlies Shelby; and his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Mary and Hack Britton, Maria and Joseph Crehuet and Maria and Manuel Rivera.
The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Thursday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown, with the memorial service following at 4 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Jim Harvey will officiate.
