Died: Oct. 3, 2012

William J. "Bill" Hagie, 78, of Smithdale Boulevard East, Limestone, passed away Wednesday at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mr. Hagie was the owner of Classic Credit Company.

He was a 1953 graduate of Elizabethton High School, and attended Duke University for four years. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from East Tennessee State University.

Mr. Hagie had served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife: Nancy Hagie; one son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Mary Hagie of Limestone; his grandchildren: Candice and Carla Hagie; and one sister: Betty Davis of Johnson City.

He was the son of the late James Coy and Malgia Simpson Hagie.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. Todd Wolfe will officiate.

Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Saturday in Happy Valley Memorial Park for an 11 a.m. committal service.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Hankins, Bob Davis, Carl G. Collins, Mitchel Lawhern, Charlie Hensley, and Dean Blevins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Matherly, Fred Simerly, Don Walters, Clarence Tweed, Ray Adams and Dean Blevins.
