Eleanor Peterson Neudeck

Died: Oct. 4, 2012

Eleanor Lucille (Peterson) Neudeck, age 86, died Thursday in the comfort of her home.

Born March 28, 1926, in Brockton, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Clarence S. Peterson and Edith M. (Pearl) Turpin.

Eleanor was a 1943 graduate of Brockton High School and worked for many years as a legal secretary in Jacksonville, Fla.

She was a member of the Peace Presbyterian Church.

After living for a number of years in retirement in Jacksonville, she moved in 2008 to Tennessee to be close to her daughter, Carolyn.

Eleanor is survived by her sons: Clayton and Russell (Debbie) Neudeck in Jacksonville, and her daughter Carolyn (Jerry) Ayers in Chuckey. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Devin and Cynthia Neudeck of Las Vegas, Nev., Michael and Christina Neudeck of Jacksonville, Steven (Terran) Ayers of Greeneville, and Sheena Ayers of Chuckey. She has one great-grandson, Harrison Ayers.

Also surviving are her sisters: Marilyn R. Peterson and Virginia Corbett of Massachusetts, and a brother: Sonny Peterson, also of Massachusetts.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Howard H. Neudeck.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be scheduled for next week in Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville. Burial will be next to her husband.
