Donald R. Osborne Sr., 80, of Chuckey, passed away Thursday afternoon at Life Care Center of Greeneville.
Mr. Osborne was a lineman for Jersey Central Power and Light.
He attended Mount Zion United Methodist Church.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Andrew Johnson Post No. 1990, and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Candy and William Carr Sr. of Chuckey and Zenna and Ken Roden of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sons and two daughters-in-law: Donald Jr. and Leslie Osborne of Nashville, Chris and Mary Anne Osborne of Greentown, Pa., and Dion Osborne and Curtis Osborne of Springhill, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a sister: Patricia Joppien of Mulberry, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Sidney and Flora Bell Cook Osborne and was preceded in death by his wife: Constance Osborne; and a sister: Harriette McMickle.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with a graveside service following at 3:15 p.m. in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Rev. Kristen Burkhart will officiate.
The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Vicki and Scott Brown, Kim and Chris Osborne, Ken Roden, and William Carr Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staffs of Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation Center, Life Care Center of Greeneville, Gosnell's Music Store, and Amedisys Hospice.
