Died: Oct. 5, 2012

Cora Lea Matherly, 59, of Blue Springs Parkway, Greeneville, passed away Friday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Matherly was a member of Casi Full Gospel Church.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years: Bobby Matherly; four children: Shawmarie Hicks and spouse, Dewey, of Johnson City, Melinda and Dr. Paul Fox of Greeneville, and Nicole Matherly and Ashley Little of the home; her grandchildren: Courteney Squibb, Seana Dawson and spouse, Josh, and Kent Fox and spouse, April; three great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters-in-law and her sisters and brothers-in-law: Naomi and Jack Neas of Kingsport, Irene and Craig Jones of Erwin, Jeanette Gosnell of Greeneville, and Steve and Deborah Foster of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Russell and Billie Jean Foster and was preceded in death by her stepfather, Harold Duncan; and a sister, Linda Masters.

The funeral service was held at 7 p.m. Sunday at Casi Full Gospel Church. The Rev. Dr. Jim Fields and the Rev. Shawn Broyles officiated.

A committal service was held at 11 a.m. today at Liberty Cemetery in the South Central community, Chuckey.

The family received friends Sunday prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers were John Haynes, Dewey Hicks, Dr. Paul Fox, Ross Squibb, and Tyler Foster.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Carla Nickle, Dr. A.K. Sen, Dr. James Swenson, and Dr. Robert Bridges.
