Charles Richard Dean, 51, owner of Dean Electric and Mechanical and well-known musician, passed away Saturday at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol.

He was a loving husband, father, and brother. Anyone who knew him, loved him. He had lots of special friends.

Survivors include his wife: Melisa Dean; two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert Lee and Georgianna Starnes and Matt and Britney Starnes; a grandson: Brady Lee Starnes; a granddaughter: Caroline Phillips; his stepfather: Emory Depew; three brothers: James Dean, Albert Dean, and Danny Dean; a sister and brother-in-law: Jim and Mary Crum; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Betty and Roy Ryans; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Derek and Betty Jean Gosnell, Homer and Carla Ryans, Junior Ryans, and Dennis Ryans; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Arnon Dean; two brothers: Danny Judson Dean and Jerry Dean; and nephew: Jason Dean.

A graveside service was held at 4 p.m. Sunday in Cross Anchor Cemetery. The Rev. Van Johnson and the Rev. Paul Ragon officiated.

Pallbearers were Jim Crum, Matt Starnes, Darrin Fannon, Roger Carter, Danny Dean, Roger Davis, Ben Ryans, Bobby Dean, and Cody Gross.

Jeffers Funeral and Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.
