Died: Oct. 7, 2012

James R. White, 69, of Greeneville, passed away Sunday morning at Takoma Regional Hospital.

He loved life and people. He had the gift of talking and loved to share stories.

Survivors include his sister: Stella Waddell Pollack of Greeneville; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Herchel and Christine White, C.L. and Charlotte White of Limestone, and Dean White of Chuckey; his nieces: Janet and Keith Tolley, Diane Waddell, Vicki Waddell, and Deana and Kenni Carter; his nephews: Wayne and Angela White, Kenny and Brandie White, John and Seleh White, and Carl White; his special friends at North Main Grocery, Kay Swift and Billy Joe Nelson

He was preceded in death by his parents: Carl L. and Hattie Teaster White; and two brothers: Glea White and Roger White.

A celebration of life service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the downtown chapel of Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service. The Rev. Willis Bowers will officiate.

The family will receive friends following the service.

At Mr. White's request, his body was cremated.
