John "Shag"
Graham Jr. , 65, of Little Cassi Creek Road, Chuckey, the South Central community, died Thursday at
the Johnson City Medical Center.
He was a former employee of TRW and
was retired from Superior Metal Products.
Mr. Graham was a member of
Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, where he was an assistant Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include: his wife of 39 years: Marcella Ann Ward Graham; one daughter and
son-in-law: Alicia and Michael Holley of Chuckey; a sister: Millie "Mildred" Grindstaff of Chuckey;
two nieces: Sandra Crockett and Connie Stewart; four nephews: John Stewart, Jerry Stewart, Allen
Garland and David Crockett; special friends: John and Bethany Orr and children, and Brandy Faulkner
and Jimmy Hilton; and a very special friend: Kyle Penley.
He was the
son of the late John and Bethel Duncan Graham and was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda
Garland and Margaret Crockett.
The family will receive friends from
2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral
service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
The Rev. John Buchanan will officiate.
Interment will
follow in the church cemetery.
The body will be taken to the church to
lie in state one hour preceding the service on Sunday.
Pallbearers
will be Carl Duncan, Henry Mathes, Kyle Penley, Johnny Mack Brown, Stan Bailey, Jerry Broyles, Ricky
Foster, and Bo Duncan.
Honorary pallbearers
will be his nephews and the men of Liberty FWB Church.
