She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Mrs. Gudger retired from Magnavox.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years: J.L. Gudger; a daughter and son-in-law: Carolyn Gudger Pierce and Richard Pierce of Greeneville; two sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Jackie Gudger of Greeneville and Kenneth and Billie Jean Black of Upper Marlboro, Md.; four grandchildren: Trisch Smith, Vincent Black, Damien and Katina Black, and Nickolas Gudger; her sisters: Bessie and James Miles of New York and Nancy and Verdell Jones of North Carolina; her brothers: David and JoAnn Miller of New York, James Miller Jr. and Bertha Miller of North Carolina, and Grover and Janet Miller and Archie Miller, all of Kingsport; a host of relatives and friends; and her dear friends: Betty Derry and Madeline Keebler.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Ruth Rogers Miller; her father: Isom Smith; and a daughter: Teresa Gudger.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Sunday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown, with the funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Pastor Benjamin Jones will officiate.

[Ed. note: an earlier obituary had listed different times for visitation and services, but a Jeffers spokesperson said the family had revised their plans. The hours listed in boldface are correct, per the spokesperson.]

Interment will be in Zion Cemetery at Baileyton.

Her nephews will be pallbearers.
