Billy Joe Hurd

Billy Joe Hurd, 48, of Plainview Heights, Greeneville, passed away Wednesday at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.

He was disabled.

Mr. Hurd attended Bridges Chapel Church of God.

Survivors include a son: Billy James Hurd; his mother: Betty Hurd; one sister: Sherry Anderson; a brother: Steve Hurd; one niece: Lisa Hurd; two nephews: Jason Hurd and Stephen Anderson; his aunts and uncles: Oscar and Elizabeth Ward and Sheila and J.C. Reynolds; a great-nephew: Logan Fellows; and a special friend: Annette Baker.

He was preceded in death by his father: Clyde Everett Hurd Sr.; two brothers: Randy Ray Hurd and Clyde Everett Hurd Jr.; and his grandparents: George Hurd, Minnie Hurd, Willis Reynolds, and Josephine Reynolds.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with interment in GraceLand Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Clarence Gammill will officiate.

Family and friends will be pallbearers.
