Lorraine Anderson Hardy

Died: Nov. 1, 2012

Lorraine Anderson Hardy, 80, of Greeneville, passed away Thursday while surrounded by her family.

She was a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church. She remained an active member there for as long as her health permitted her to do so.

While at Friendship Baptist Church, she served as president of the Jolly Workers Club. She had served on the Hostess Committee for several years.

She loved her family and she was an exceptional mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Survivors include five sons: Larry J. Anderson of Kingsport, Todd Anderson of Memphis, Ron Anderson and John Anderson, both of Greeneville, and Timothy Anderson and wife, Nicole, of Greeneville; two daughters: Clara Anderson and Rochelle Logan, both of Greeneville; three brothers: Roy Anderson and wife, Jumpee, of Thailand, Eddie Anderson and wife, Mary, of Greeneville, and Archie Forby of Greeneville; three sisters: Nora Deck and husband, Jessie, of Greenville, S.C., and Rose Hackler and Jane Hackler, both of Greeneville; her grandchildren: Jama Rogers, Yalonda Rogers, TeAndrea Anderson, Nashala Livingston, Lindsey Anderson, Zachary Anderson, Tabitha Anderson, Deven Anderson, Lakeisha Anderson, Jeremy Anderson, Randall Anderson, Clayton Anderson, Teha Dabbs, and Tiffany Dabbs; her great-grandchildren: Makia, Quantavious, Keyontae, Kiara, Takiya, Raniyd, Brayden, Natalya, David, Christinai, Daron, and Roman; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband: JoJo Hardy; her parents: Joe and Cordelia Anderson, her sons: Clayton Lavon Anderson and Ronald Anderson; and four sisters: Helen Anderson, Mildred Anderson, Geraldine Hamilton and Arlene Anderson.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at Friendship Baptist Church with interment in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Rev. C.C. Mills Jr. will officiate.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 3 p.m. to go in procession to the church. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be John Anderson, Ron Anderson, Timothy Anderson, Floyd Huff, Craig Woods, George Hall and Jason Shelton.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Brotherhood Club of Friendship Baptist Church.

The family extended a special thank you to all the hospice caregivers, the Food City Floral Department, the Farmer's Daughter, Mrs. Janna Rollins, Mrs. Sylvia Bowers, Sister Patricia Elmore, the Fort Sanders Hospital medical staff, the staff at Healthstar Physicians, all the staff at Greeneville Middle School, the staff at Takoma Regional Hospital, the Rev. C.C. Mills, and Dr. Robert Locklear.
