Russell Thomas Johnson, 78, of Greeneville, died Friday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
He was a member of Zion Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Johnson belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Andrew Johnson Post 1990.
He worked for Farm Implement for several years as well as Modern Tractor, Rambo Equipment, and R&R Implement. He was also a farmer.
Survivors include: his wife of 58 years: Joan "JoAnn" Johnson; a son-in-law: Eddie Hensley; one grandson: Matthew Hensley; a sister and brother-in-law: Bette Jo and Raymond Wade; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bobby and Charolette Parman, and Larry and Marie Parman; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; and special friends: Leslie Kimery, Bobby and Betty Waddell, and Guy and Emma Lou Myers.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Johnson Hensley, and his parents, Tom and Gertrude Jones Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. today at Afton Chapel of Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Zion Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. Bill Wing will officiate.
Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Rex Miller, Jack Kell, Matthew Bible, James Davis, Glen Hilton, and Allen Hilton.
The Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
