Died: Nov. 3, 2012

Roberta Allene Taylor, 45, of the St. James community, passed away Saturday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Survivors include her husband: Jason Taylor; her son and daughter-in-law: Justin and Casey Taylor; her daughter: Mackenzie Taylor, and her granddaughter: Khloe Taylor of the home; her mother and stepfather: Lunetta and Kenneth Gunter; a sister and her partner: Patricia James and Tammy Richards of St. James; her half-sisters: Dezirae Hope and Keith Hiett and children of Wytheville, Va., and Beth Hope of Greeneville; an honorary son: Kirk Alexander; her special niece: Marji Ingle; her mother-in-law: Clara Riddle of St. James; her brother-in-law: Troy Taylor of Greeneville; and her sister-in-law: Jessie Morgan of South Carolina.

She was a daughter of the late James W. James.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Union Chapel Cemetery at Horse Creek. The Rev. Gene Swatzell will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Chris Robinson, Joseph Robinson, Christopher Robinson, Kevin Hensley, Larry Jennings, and George Murdock Roberts.
