Fannie Unrath

Died: Nov. 4, 2012

Fannie Unrath, 90, of Washington County, formerly of Greene County, went home to be with her Lord Sunday at Four Oaks Health Care Center of Jonesborough.

Mrs. Unrath was retired as a registered nurse from Takoma Regional Hospital.

She was a member of Greeneville Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Maureen and Don Arrington and Linda and Marvin Grindstaff; one son: Wayne Unrath; two grandchildren: Adam Unrath and Victoria Arrington; several stepgrandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren; six sisters and one brother-in-law: Florence Nick, Lily Nick, June Nafziger, Donna Matchett, Catherine and Tom Guthrie, and Virginia Lee; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Jim and Gladys Nick, Jack and Margaret Nick, and Eddie and Dionne Nick; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend: Bertha Kingsbury.

She was the daughter of the late Tom and Stella Cain Nick and was preceded in death by her husband: Maurice Unrath; a grandson: Maurice William Arrington; three sisters; and six brothers.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today and from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow visitation at 3 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. David Dugger will officiate.

Interment will be held at a later date in Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
