Georgia Faye Hensley Yakley

Died: Nov. 1, 2012

Georgia Faye Hensley Yakley, 67, of the Ducktown community, died Nov. 1 at her home.

Faye Yakley left this earth and walked home with the angels on Thursday morning peacefully in her sleep at home with her family.

She was a wonderful lady that loved her family more than anything.

"I have fought a good fight, I have kept the faith."

Survivors include one sister: Sue Penley of Limestone; a special friend: Charles Ball; three brothers and a sister-in-law: Harry Hall of Limestone, Rick Hensley of Greeneville, and Gene and Tina Hensley of Limestone; three sons: Rex Yakley, Bobby Yakley, and Tom Yakley; one granddaughter and two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; one special brother and sister-in-law: Bud and Martha Penley; Eddie Yakley; a special niece and nephew: Charlie and Twilla Hundley of Pine Knot; special nephews: Tyler and Tony and wife Karen; a very special great-niece: Katie and Nikki, with whom she made her home; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; and too many loved ones to name.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years: James Yakley; her mother and father: Matthew "Red" and Mae Hensley; a special sister-in-law: Beth Hensley; and her grandmother: Myrtle Hensley.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Urbana Cemetery.
