Linton R. Stills, 73, of Forest Road, Midway, passed away Thursday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
Mr. Stills retired from sales and the restaurant business.
He had a passion for antiques.
He was a member of Sinking Springs Lutheran Church, where he attended as long as his health permitted.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years: Barbara Stills; four daughters and sons-in-law: Pam and Rocky Hoke, Kim and Ray Feltham, Angela and Robert Smith, and Melody and Rob Murray; a son and daughter-in-law: Chris and Angela Stills; his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly: Josh Hoke, Miranda Wykle, Chasity Feltham, Brittany Feltham, Evan Hoke, Elyssa Stills, Mariah Murray, Brandon Smith, and Jordan Murray; her great-grandchildren: Cameron Payne and Kiley Payne; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Irene Stills and Gaye and the Rev. Buster Shelton; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Gene and Alyne Stills and Ethel Stills; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law: Loreise Miller, and Eddie and Ann Miller; special friends: Miranda and Johnathan Shelton and Kristal Wood, and Parker Wood and Cayden Shelton, whom he considered to be grandsons.
Born Nov. 1, 1939, he was the son of the late Carl and Dora Stills and was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Misty; four brothers: Raymond, Mack, Hoover and Clarence Stills; and one sister: Wanda Rader.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Sinking Springs Lutheran Church with interment in River Hill Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Weeks will officiate.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior the funeral service.
Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home at 11 a.m. to go in procession to the church.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews: Josh Hoke, Evan Hoke, Brandon Smith, Chad Rader, Haskell Stills and Jeffrey Stills.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Phillip Thwing, Dr. Dharman Patel and staff, especially Jennifer; and the staff of 4-East at Laughlin Memorial Hospital, especially Ashley.
