JONESBOROUGH -- William "Bill" Johnson, 46, Telford, passed away Sunday at his home.
A native of Greene County, he was son of Shirley Gregory of Chuckey and the late Earnest Clyde Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a ship builder and truck driver.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the North American Hunting Club.
He was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord very much.
He was a caring person, a loving and devoted husband and father, and he had a love for everyone.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife: April Johnson of the home; two daughters: Kassidy Johnson of Virginia and Mallori Johnson of Georgia; one stepdaughter: Eryn Johnson of Virginia; a special grandson; three brothers: Leonard Johnson of Georgia, Mark Johnson of Telford, and Scott Johnson of North Carolina; two special nephews: Kadin and Noah Briggs; a special father-in-law and mother-in-law: Perry and Susie Painter of the home; and a niece: Amber Johnson.
He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Misty Briggs.
A memorial service will be held for Mr. Johnson at 2 p.m. today at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home for family and close friends. Pastor Lynn Mercer will be conducting the service.
