Sammie Hawk Davis, 82, of Winston-Salem, N.C., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6.

She is survived by a son: Mark and Terri Davis, and a grandson: Tyler Davis, of Winston-Salem; a brother: Billy J. and Joe Ann Hawk, and a sister: Glenna Woolsey of Greeneville; two sisters-in-law: Charlie Hawk of Greeneville and Frances Hawk of Augusta, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.E. Davis of Winston-Salem; her parents: Alfred Roy and Mabel Keicher Hawk of Greeneville; two brothers: Rueben Hawk of Augusta, Ga., and Max Hawk of Greeneville; two sisters: Faye and Warren Rader of Parrottsville and Mildred and Buel Brooks of Greeneville; a brother-in-law: Lyle Woolsey of Greeneville; and a sister-in-law: Nancy Hawk of Greeneville.

A graveside service was held Saturday, Nov. 10, in Pine Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Briggs Funeral Home in Denton, N.C., was in charge of arrangements.
