Viola Webb Hamlin, 89, of Greeneville, formerly of Evarts, Ky., passed away Wednesday at her home.
She was a member of River Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. After moving to Greeneville, she attended Towering Oaks Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Shirley J. and Byron J. Ball of Greeneville; two grandchildren: Greg Ball of Topeka, Kan., and Belinda R. Dowd of Frisco, Texas; a sister: Mary Bennett of Tazewell; and her great-grandchildren: Taylor Dowd and Olivia Dowd.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Edward Hamlin; her parents: Floyd and Maude Middleton Webb; a sister: Irene Redwine; two brothers: Earl Gilbert and Otis Gilbert; a grandmother: Mary T Middleton; and an uncle: Howard Middleton.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, Afton Chapel, with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. Pastor Ellis Necessary will officiate.
