Died: Nov. 17, 2012

LACEY, Wash. -- Glenda Gail Wilson, 58, died Saturday in Lacey of cancer.

She was born Sept. 19, 1954, to Ed and Mollie Mintert in Dyersburg, Tenn.

She graduated from Cahokia High School, attended Eastern New Mexico University in Clovis, N.M., and received an Associate of Arts degree from Walters State Community College in Morristown, Tenn.

She was married to Jimmy Helton, and later married Richard Wilson on May 7, 1980, in Effingham, Ill.

From 1993 to 2007, Glenda was an LPTA at Takoma Adventist Hospital in Greeneville, Tenn.

She loved art, especially drawing, and was a NRA hunter pistol shooting competitor.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a United Methodist Church in Logan, N.M., and a member of Friends of Ute Lake State Park.

Glenda is survived by her husband: Richard; her sons: Jim Helton of Greeneville and Jason Helton of Lacey; two brothers: Dennis Mintert of Brighton, Ill., and Tracy Mintert of Effingham; a sister: Mary Doedtman of Effingham; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Danny Dawson of Colllinsville, Ill.; and a sister: Vickie Pace of Alton, Ill.
