Jill Ann Shaw Heck

NEWTON, N.C. -- Jill Ann Shaw Heck,
80 of Hickory, died Thursday at Catawba Regional Hospice.
Born Nov.
12, 1932, in Greene County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Hobert Shaw and Bertha Waddell
Shaw.
In her early career, Mrs. Heck worked for the Greene County
Register of Deeds and she also managed Droke's Shoes and the Jewel Box.
In Hickory, she worked for Boyd and Hassel Realty and Oakwood Homes.
Survivors include two sons; Kim Heck and wife, Nina, and Kress Heck, all of Hickory; a
sister: Trixie Teague of Greeneville, Tenn.; four grandchildren: Amber Abernethy, Austin Heck, Kalen
Heck, and Kabre Heck; two great-grandchildren: Allie Stacks and Alek Abernethy; a sister-in-law:
Betty Shaw; and two nephews: Kendal Shaw and Gregory Shaw.
She was
preceded in death by her husband of 41 years: A.C. Heck; and two brothers: Don Shaw and Keith Shaw.
The funeral was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel
with the Rev. Chuck Huskins and Mitch Atkinson officiating. Burial followed in Catawba Memorial
Park.
The family receive friends prior to the service.
Pallbearers were Austin Heck, Kalen Heck, Kabre Heck, Alek Abernethy, Rodney Houser
and Okie Parsons.
