Homer Wade Huff, 82, of Greeneville, passed away Friday at James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center at Mountain Home.
He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and loved to farm.
Mr. Huff was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church.
He was a veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Virginia Mysinger Huff; a son and daughter-in-law: Michael and Holly Huff; four special grandchildren: Steven and Tara Huff and Kalum and Hannah Hensley; one special great-grandson: Denver Huff; five nieces and nephews: Don and Grace White, Bobby Bird, Doris and Doug Temple, Sammy and Charlene Bird, Tim and Angie Smithson; and four great-nieces and great-nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents: L.M. and Nell Huff; a sister and brother-in-law: Juanita and Romane Smithson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Pearl and Robert Mysinger; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Sam and Luster Bird; a niece: Glenda Bird; and a special daughter-in-law: Pam Huff.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Jim Fillers and Lee Harr will officiate.
Family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to River Hill Cemetery for an 11 a.m. committal service.
The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Donald Dean Miller, Tommy Miller, Todd Bird, Robert Wilhoit, Craig Bowlby, and Benjy Ryans.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff at Mountain Home Community Living Center.
