Died: Nov. 23, 2012

KINGSPORT -- Mona R. Willis, age 87, entered into rest Friday at Church Hill Health Care.

Mona was born in Greeneville and was a daughter of the late Herman and Grace Harmon Fortner.

A longtime resident of Kingsport, Mona was retired from Holston Valley Medical Center, where she was employed as assistant credit manager.

She was a member of Litz Manor Baptist Church.

Mona was preceded in death by her husband, Rocky Willis; a daughter, Mitzi Osborne, and son, Marvin Willis Jr.

Survivors include three grandchildren: Lisa Weaver and husband Robert of Meadowview, Va., Traci Willis of Lexington, Ky., and Denise Herron of Kingsport; one great-granddaughter: Ashley Weaver of Meadowview; one sister: Bernice Morris of Wapakoneta, Ohio; and several nieces, including Patsy Bradley and Betty Beach, both of Mosheim.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday at East Lawn Funeral Home with funeral services to follow in the chapel at 2 p.m.

Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Litz Manor Baptist Church.
