Died: Nov. 24, 2012

JONESBOROUGH -- Margaret L. Brown, 95, of Elizabethton, passed away Saturday at the Johnson City Medical Center.

A native of Washington, D.C., she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Irene Gray.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Brown, and granddaughter, Donna Holt, whom she raised.

Mrs. Brown was a retired government employee, working in Washington, D.C., for many years as an auditor for the Department of Finance and Records.

She was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include two daughters: June Settle of Virginia and Virginia Van of Wisconsin; one son: George Brown of Florida; three great-granddaughters: Angela Jett, Tonya Grier, and Michele King; and one great-grandson: Jesse Adams III.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at Lees Funeral Home in Clinton, Md. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, Md.
