Joanne Ealey, 72, of Afton, passed away Thursday at Durham-Hensley Health and Rehabilitation in Chuckey.
Survivors include three sons: Jerry Wilkerson and Barbara Hinkle of Afton, and Daniel Wilkerson and Tommy Franklin of Greeneville, two daughters: Patricia and Timmy Dean, and Donna Wilkerson, all of Greeneville; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Kathryn Dean, Virgie Foster, Gaynell Brobeck, and Sue Conner; two brothers: Clyde Smelcer and Billy Frank Smelcer; several nieces and nephews; a special caregiver: Ashley Foster; and a special granddaughter: Samantha Dean.
She was preceded in death by a husband: Sonny Dewey Wilkerson; her parents: Roy and Opal Smelcer; and two brothers: Charles Smelcer and Junior Smelcer.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown, with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. The Rev. Claude Smith will officiate.
