Calvin D. "Danny" Taylor, a resident of Colorado Springs since 2000 and formerly of Albuquerque, N.M., and Melbourne, Fla., passed away Monday, Nov. 26, at his home.
Calvin Daniel Taylor was born on March 14, 1952, in Gainesville, Ga., to Calvin Lafayette Taylor Jr. and Lois Jeannette (Roberts) Taylor.
He was a 1970 graduate of Greeneville High School and a continuing college graduate as he received multiple degrees.
On Sept. 7, 1978, he married Yusu Kang in Seoul, Korea.
He was a senior electronics technician with Intel, Martin Marietta, GE and RCA.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for nine years.
He enjoyed playing the guitar, golfing, car racing, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Danny will be remembered for his great intellect, his gregarious personality, his desire and ability to help others, his compassion, and for his obvious love of people. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife: Yusu; a son: Jimmy Taylor of Albuquerque; two grandsons: Donovan and Christopher; and his three faithful dogs.
He was preceded in death by a son, Chris Taylor, in December 2009.
There will be a private family gathering at the home in his memory. Private inurnment will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance Chapel Mausoleum.
