JONESBOROUGH -- Ralph Peck Feather Jr., 82, Sand Valley Road, Jonesborough, went home to be with the Lord Saturday at Four Oaks Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
He was the son of the late Ralph Peck Feather Sr. and the late Vincensa Galetti Feather. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Michael Feather.
Survivors include his spouse of 57 years: Aloha Jean Feather; one daughter: Carol and Erasmos Montemayor of Hebbronville, Texas; and two sons: Laurence and Debra Feather of Titusville, Fla., and Bruce Feather of Jonesborough; a brother: Michael Feather of Lebanon, Pa.; a sister: Joanne Kina of Woodstock, Ga.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and in the U.S. Air Force during the Berlin Airlift.
Mr. Feather was a retired employee of General Aviation in Greeneville.
His body was donated to Restore Life USA for research in ALS and Alzheimer's disease.
The family with hold a private memorial service at a later date.
He was very much loved by his children - Larry, Carol, and Bruce.
