Dorathy G. Donaldson, 98, of Greeneville, died Tuesday morning at Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Greeneville.

Mrs. Donaldson was born in Etowah, where she lived until 1944 at which time she moved to Cleveland (Tenn.), where she and her late husband, Joseph F. Donaldson, were co-owners and operators of Donaldson Printing Co.

After his death she moved to Greeneville, where she has lived for the past several years.

She was a member and elder at First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland and an affiliate member of First Presbyterian Church of Greeneville.

Mrs. Donaldson was a past president of Bradley County Home Demonstration Club and an assistant cashier at Merchants Bank in Cleveland. She served on the board of Cleveland Community Concerts and was a volunteer at Bradley Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: the Rev. Dr. Dan and Pat Donaldson of Greeneville, and Dr. Joe and Meredith Donaldson of Columbia, Mo.; her grandchildren: Heather Donaldson and Rachel Donaldson of Greeneville, Susanna Donaldson and Ann Morris of Iowa City, Iowa, Andrew Donaldson of Beverly, Mass., and Marylee Donaldson of Columbia, Mo.; a brother: A.T. Grayson of Athens, a sister-in-law: Pat Grayson of Lenoir City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a daughter of the late Frank and Swannie McGhee Grayson and was preceded in death, in addition to her husband, by four sisters: Kathryn Harrod, Jean Snyder, Mildred Lay, and Geraldine Erwin; and three brothers: Calvin Grayson, Robert Grayson, and Joe Grayson.

There will be no formal visitation. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church.

The Rev. James Mays will officiate.

There will be a gathering of friends and family in the Simon Room of First Presbyterian Church following the funeral service.

Interment will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fort Hill Cemetery in Cleveland.

Dr. Joseph Tanner will officiate.

Following the interment, there will be a gathering of friends and family in the narthex of First Presbyterian Church in Cleveland.

It is requested that friends who would like to join the family for the committal service meet at 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Heather Donaldson, Rachel Donaldson, Susanna Donaldson, Ann Morris, Andrew Donaldson, and Marylee Donaldson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Greeneville.
