Jerrie Brown

Jerrie Brown, 72, of Cypress Street, Greeneville, went to be with the Lord Monday at Takoma Regional Hospital.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Brown was of the Baptist faith.

She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will be sadly missed; even in sickness, she was known to be full of joy.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years: Gene Brown; her son: Kenneth Brown; her daughter and son-in-law: Cindy and Gary Kirk; four grandchildren: Devin and Josh Brown, Kattie Kincaid and husband, Wesley, and Kellie Kirk; one great-grandchild: Talan Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Mack and Mildred Horner Arwood and was preceded in death by her sisters: Lois Ellenburg, Mabel Starnes, Katherine Rudder, and Charlotte Shiflet; and her brothers: John Arwood and Bobby Arwood.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with interment in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Rev. Jeff Blake will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Tim Rudder, Josh Brown, Harold Cornette, Bryan Arwood, Dale Kirk, and James Justice.
