Nellie Wallace

Nellie Wallace, 79, of Bradley Avenue, Greeneville, passed away Monday at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

She was a homemaker and the widow of William "Fud" Wallace.

Survivors include a son: Billy Wallace of Greeneville; daughters and sons-in law: Ethel and Art Cutshall and Charlotte Fletcher, all of Afton, Leona Wallace Fletcher and Beulah Richards, of Greeneville, and Carolyn Virginia Bowman and Oscar Grant of Goldsboro, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister: Mary Roberts of Baileyton; several nieces and nephews; and many special nieces, including Lorna Strong.

She was the daughter of the late Earl and Nancy Lou Dotson Wines and was preceded in death by a daughter: Charlsie E. Wallace; a great-grandson: James Ray Boles; one brother: Orville Wines; and two sons-in-law: Danny Bowman and James Fletcher.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, downtown, with the services following at 1 p.m. The Rev. Buster Shelton, the Rev. Eddie Malone, and the Rev. Jay Hugh Jennings will officiate.

There will be no formal graveside service. Burial will be in Bethany Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Chuckey

Pallbearers will be Dean Kirkpatrick, Eddie Jennings, Otis Roberts, Lynn Roberts, Monty Cantwell, and James Boles.

Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Jennings Jr., Burt Bowman, Josh Ashworth, Tommy Fletcher, and Arthur Cutshall.

Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
