Bertha Brown

Died: Dec. 30, 2012

Bertha Beatrice Jones Brown, 87, of Greeneville, passed away Sunday at the Johnson City Medical Center.

She was loved by all who knew her. She had many friends and considered her close neighbors as family. Her generous, kind, and loving spirit will forever be sadly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years: Raymond R. Brown; a daughter: Carol Brown and friend, Bob Bolton; a very special granddaughter: Carrie Smith Tucker and her husband, Chris; three great-grandchildren, who were the "lights of her life": Elliott, Maddox, and Wrenley Beatrice Tucker; a brother: Lewellyn Jones; and a sister: Mildred Bowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents: William Kelly and Fannie Jones; three brothers; Jack, Guy and Jessie Jones; two sisters: Mary Katherine Bowman and Aileen Trantham; and a special son: Michael Ray Brown.

The family expressed their heartfelt thanks to a special friend, Rick Strickland.

At Mrs. Brown's request, her body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
