Betty June Brown, 84, of Mudd Hollow
Lane, Greeneville, died Thursday at her home.
She was a retired
teacher after 34 years of service.
She graduated from Bob Jones
University and received a master's degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Hardins Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years: Elmer Brown; two
daughters and sons-in-law: Angela and Wayne Babb, and Melody and Dwayne Dykes, all of Chuckey;
grandchildren: Bettina Tipton, Ashley Bishop, Jamie Waddle, Amanda Babb, Timmy Babb, Jason Babb,
Coty Dykes, Matthew Jones, and Blaine Dykes; two great-grandchildren: Grant Bishop and Colin Bishop;
three sisters: Mary Katherine Verran and Lavern Walker, both of Knoxville; and Fonda Hartman of
Greeneville; one brother: Eugene Harmon of Greeneville; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Robert and Molly Harmon and was
preceded in death by a sister, Allene Hartman; and two brothers, Hayne Harmon and Woodrow Harmon.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at
Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2
p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel.
The Rev. Ronnie Duncan and the
Rev. Dean Brewster will officiate.
Interment will be in Hardins Chapel
Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Todd Brown, Lanny Dunn, Randy Dunn, Coty
Dykes, Blaine Dykes, Scott Waddle and Eric Bishop.
The family extends
