Margaret White Johnson

Margaret White Johnson, age 89, formerly of Greeneville, passed away Saturday evening at Oakview Health and Rehabilitation in Summerville, Ga.

She was retired from the Sullivan County School System.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law: Lynn Johnson of Summerville; one grandson: Ben Johnson of Archdale, N.C.; one granddaughter: Mallorie Johnson of Summerville; two half-sisters: Elizabeth Anne Graham and Evelyn Wilson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Ray A. Johnson; one son: Dr. Robert Alan Johnson; parents: Dr. E.I. and Frances White; and brother: Dr. Robert White.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. today at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Jeannie Higgins will officiate.
