Died: Jan. 11, 2013

JONESBOROUGH -- Ida Patton, age 81, Limestone, passed away Friday at her home.

II Timothy 4:7-8 - "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."

A native of Washington County, she was a daughter of the late Dan and Gracie Painter Penley.

She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

Ida was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and spending time with her family.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Judy Patton of Limestone; one sister and brother-in-law: Ruth and Frank Morgan of Limestone; one brother and sister-in-law: James "Dick" and Eloise Penley of Limestone; three grandchildren: Brian Patton and Hannah, April Patton, and Josh Burgner, all of Limestone; and three great-grandchildren: Lexi Patton, Holly Patton and Draven Burgner, all of Limestone.

The funeral service was held at 8 p.m. Saturday at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Brother Amos Penley and the Rev. Craig Ponder officiated. The family received friends prior to the service.

Interment services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in New Salem Cemetery.

Pallbearers were family and friends.

The family extended their sincere appreciation to Paul Marich, Lakebridge Health Care, and Dr. Bruce Boggs, his staff, and Mountain States Home Care and Hospice for the loving care and support provided to Ida during her illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 421 Lester Snapp Road, Limestone, TN 37681.
