Kenneth Eugene Fullen, age 91, of Cedar Creek Road, formerly of the Ottway community, died suddenly Sunday morning at his home.
He was a farmer and owner of Fullen Engine Shop in the Ottway community.
He was a veteran of World War II and received two Purple Hearts, three Silver Stars, two Bronze Stars, and a Presidential Citation for his service.
Mr. Fullen was a member of Ottway United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife: Nora Fullen; stepchildren: Kathy Hopson, Amanda Bishop, Donald Mace, Carolyn Laws, and Shelly Cutshall; several stepgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend: Johnny "Tarp" Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Molly Jones Fullen; parents: William A. and Sarah Margaret Fullen; brothers and sisters: Willis Fullen, Alfred Fullen, Corbet Fullen, Minnie Laughters, Betty Harvey, Ruth Pierce, and Margaret Barham Bowman.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Edward Cutshaw and the Rev. Donna Waddle will officiate.
Burial will follow in Cross Anchor Cemetery with military honors being conveyed by the Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard.
Active pallbearers will be Russell Fullen, Gary Fullen, George Barham, Scotty Hopson, Jim Laws, and Johnny Collins.
Honorary pallbearers will be veterans of World War II and Eddie Manis, Dave Baumgartner, and Joe Sutter, all of HonorAir Knoxville.
