Eugene "Babe" Williams, 89, of Cherry
Street, Greeneville, passed away Saturday afternoon at his home.
He
was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one sister: Ruth Helen
Wilburn; three nieces: Mary Ann Wilburn, Betty Jo Hensley, and Christina Sexton; three nephews: Bob
Jack Williams, Tracy Williams, and Fred Size; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Annie Williams; and
four brothers: Johnny, Edger, Luke, and Alfred Williams.
The family
will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. The Rev.
Buster Shelton will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Kenneth Hensley, Ronnie Waddell, David Bible, Daniel Bible,
David Rader, and Steve Gosnell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr.
Charles Montgomery, his special friends at: McDonalds, the Roby Adult Center, The Bean Barn, Double
D Tire, and Peggy Ann Bakery, Terry Waddell and Charles Gosnell.
