Terry Justis

Died: Jan. 13, 2013

Terry "Fat Back" Justis, 60, of the Wesley Chapel community, passed away Sunday afternoon at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Justis was the first employee hired at C&C Millwright, where he worked for the past 42 years.

He had been stationed at DTR Tennessee for the past 16 years.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his golfing buddies.

Mr. Justis was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife: Ginger Wertz Justis; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Shawn and Chasity Justis of Greeneville and Tyler Justis of Wesley Chapel; a daughter and son-in-law: Shellie and Mark Childress of Greeneville; eight grandchildren: Cody Childress, Braelyn Childress, Cayden Childress, Arieana Justis, Jacy Justis, Gage Justis, Alyssa Justis, and Alexus Thomas; a brother and sister-in-law: Michael and Sandra Justis of Afton; his mother and stepfather: Erma and William Heeger of Wesley Chapel; and his mother-in-law: Erma Wertz of Fort Myers, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his father: Wayne Justis; and grandparents: Henry and Leo Gass.

The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, Afton Chapel, with the funeral service following at 7 p.m. The Rev. Donna Waddle and the Rev. Linda Rozar will officiate.

The body will be cremated and interment will be held at a later date in Cross Anchor Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
