Derrick Ray Malone

Died: Jan. 13, 2013

Derrick Ray Malone, age 28, of the Romeo community, passed away Sunday afternoon due to injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

He was a loving husband and father.

He is survived by his wife: Pamela Malone; a daughter: Madilyn Machea McCravey; a son: Sylar Isaiah Malone; mother: Nancy Malone; father: Jeff Malone; four sisters: Janet LaRoche Malone, Janet Malone Cox, Charlotte Dykes, and Pam Hudson; a brother: Jordan Malone; cousins: Jonah Saylor, Justin Saylor, and Jamie and Levi Hudson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rodney and Brenda Jackson of Talbott; five brothers-in-law: Devon, Matthew and Timothy McCravey, Scott LaRoche, and Max Cox; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Leonard Malone.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Doughty-Stevens Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Baxter officiating. Interment will follow in Carter's Station (Albany) Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Chris Graham, Justin Hensley, Devon McCravey, Matthew McCravey, Timothy McCravey, T.J. Williams, Jonah Saylor, and Justin Saylor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Levi Hudson, Scott LaRoche, Ricky Presley and Gary Carter.
