OCALA, Fla. -- Daniel Keith Stroud, 45, passed away suddenly Thursday at Ocala Regional Medical Center due to unexpected complications after surgery.

He is survived by his mother: Phyllis Peterson of Silver Springs; his father: Bill Stroud of Jefferson City, Tenn.; his son: William Stroud; his daughter: Brandi Stroud; a granddaughter: Makeena Lashae Stroud of Greeneville, Tenn.; a brother: Greg Stroud, and two sisters: Pam Huffstuttler and Carla Shackleford, all of Greeneville; two brothers-in-laws: John Huffstuttler and Mark Shackleford; special nieces and nephews: Josh, Ashley, Kristen, Logan, Tyler, and Bailey; a special aunt: Joanie Morrow of Bellview, with whom he made his home; and a special friend: Susan Stroud of Greeneville. He was loved by many aunts and uncles.

Services will be held at First Baptist of Ocklawaha at 1:30 p.m. today.
