Frances Lucille Nuckols

Died: Jan. 19, 2013

JOHNSON CITY -- Frances Lucille Wright Nuckols, 86, Jonesborough, went to be with her Lord Saturday at Lakebridge Health Care Center.

She was a native of Cripple Creek, Va., and one of 12 children of the late Elridge Foster and Ethel Mae Rosenbaum Wright.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years: Edgar Nuckols, in 2008; one son: Charles "Charlie" Nuckols; three brothers: David Teewan Wright, Clyde Dillard Wright and Daniel A. Wright; and two sisters: Jessie Faye Patton and Joyce Christine Viars.

Lucille was a member of Marvin's United Methodist Church.

She was a member of a former Home Demonstration Club and the NCHA Association.

She enjoyed camping, traveling and crafts and loved spending time with her family.

Lucille is survived by two daughters: Peggy Solomon and husband, John, of Mosheim, and Doris Lynne Deakins and husband, Keith, of Gray; five sons: Randy Nuckols and wife, Carolyn, of Harrison, Danny Nuckols and wife, Beverly, of Gray, Gary Nuckols and wife, Regina, of Chuckey, Eddie Nuckols and wife, Barbara, of Jonesborough, and Tim Nuckols, of Johnson City; four sisters: Mary Harris of Richmond, Va., Ann Brewer and husband, Lewis of Dublin, Va., Phyllis Dix and husband, J.W., of Wytheville, Va., and Hazel "Toppy" Vandyke and husband, Johnny, of Colonial Heights, Va.; brothers: Eddie Wright and wife, Gladys, of Petersburg, Va., and Freddie Wright of Chesterfield, Va.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service for Frances Lucille Nuckols will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services with the Rev. Rick Clowers and the Rev. Dennis Ford officiating.

The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A graveside and committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Washington County Memory Gardens.

Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m.

Active pallbearers will be selected from family members.

Memorial contributions may be made to Marvin's United Methodist Church Building Fund, 1882 Old Boones Creek Road, Johnson City, TN 37615.
