WEBER CITY, Va. -- Nina Grace Taylor Herron, 85, Gate City, passed away Tuesday morning at Indian Path Medical Center in Kingsport.
She was a lifelong resident of Scott County and a graduate of Gate City High School.
Nina was the former co-owner/operator of Granny's Antique Store and Lakeview Antique Store.
She was a member of Gate City United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Rudy Herron; a daughter: Toni Herron; grandchildren: William Aaron Crawford, Joey Greer, and Terri Leigh Vermillion; parents: Emmett and Addie Jennings Taylor; and several brothers and sisters.
Nina Grace Herron is survived by her daughters: Kathy Crawford of Baileyton, Tenn., Patty Herron of Weber City, Theresa McMahan and husband, Frank Jr., of Fall Branch, Tenn., and Robin Greer of Weber City; grandchildren: Holly Bernard, Heather Lane, Craig Falin, Marcus Vermillion, and Chloe Horne; great-grandchildren: Corben Bernard, Haleigh Bernard, Payton Carter, Mekayla Lane, Jared Vermillion, and Lilly Grace Horne; a sister: Sue Vermillion of Esterville Heights (Va.); a brother: Carroll Jennings Taylor of Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. today at Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home, 280 U.S. Highway 23N, Weber City.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Thursday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Baxter officiating.
A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. in Holston View Cemetery with Eddie Lane, Payton Carter, Frank McMahan Jr., Carroll Gillenwater, and Bill Hackney serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Snodgrass, Bo Taylor, and Ronnie Bernard Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
