Johnny F. Solomon

Johnny Franklin Solomon, 75, of
Valleydale Road, Mosheim, went to be with his Lord Sunday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center at
Mountain Home.
Johnny retired from Weavexx after 34 years of service.
He was a member of Hartman's Chapel United Methodist Church.
A lifetime resident of Greene County, he was the oldest of five
children of the late James and Essie Kate Hurst Solomon.
Johnny served
in the U.S. Army from 1957-59 in Germany.
He enjoyed gardening,
cooking, and family.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years: Peggy
Nuckols Solomon; son: Scott Christopher Solomon of Church Hill; two daughters: Shana Gail Solomon
and partner, Kayla Stephenson, of Charleston, S.C., and Stacey Renee Tindell and fiancé,
Timothy Turner, of Glen Rose, Texas; two granddaughters: Abigail "Abby" Tindell of Glen Rose and
Kaelyn Solomon of Church Hill; two sisters: Mary Beth Solomon of Midway and Frances Register of
Mosheim; nephew: Jim Register of Mosheim; uncle and aunt: Stanley and Camilla Hurst of Springfield,
Mo.; two sisters-in-law: Nancy Solomon of Greeneville and Doris Lynne Deakins and husband, Keith, of
Gray; five brothers-in-law: Randy Nuckols and wife Carolyn, of Harrison, Danny Nuckols and wife,
Beverly, of Gray, Gary Nuckols and wife, Regina, of Chuckey, Eddie Nuckols and wife, Barbara, of
Jonesborough, and Tim Nuckols of Johnson City; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a beloved
pet: a miniature horse, Snickers.
He was preceded in death by his
wife: Willie Ruth Hartsell Solomon; a brother: Steve E. Solomon; and a sister: Ava Sue Solomon.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Kiser-Rose
Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday
at Hartman's Chapel UM Church with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Jim Fain and the Rev.
Stephen Jackson will officiate.
The Greene County Honor Guard and the
Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Adams, Troy Ebbert, Dave Crum, Jeremy Morgan, Marty Hicks,
and Tim Ferrell.
