Mary Sue Everhart

Mary Sue Everhart, 80, of Greeneville, passed away early Sunday morning at U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville.
She was retired from First Tennessee Bank and prior to her banking career was employed as a bookkeeper for several businesses.
Mrs. Everhart was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Crusaders Sunday School Class. She was an active member having served her church in various capacities.
She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and had served in number of positions both on the local and state level.
She was a member of the Greene County Veterans Association.
She was a sports enthusiast and an avid Tennessee fan.
Survivors include one sister: Ada Ruth Crum of Greeneville; four nieces and spouses: Linda Crum of Seymour, Angela Crum, Brenda and Todd Hodges, and Carolyn and Joe Parkins, all of Greeneville; one nephew and his wife: Dennis and Beth Tweed of Chattanooga; a special great-niece: Allie Hodges; and great-nieces and great-nephews and spouses: Andrew and Cassi Tweed, Lauren and Wes Cameron, Ryan and Amanda Parkins, and Heather and Kevin Bradner.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Jim Ross Everhart, who died June 15, 1996; parents: Tom and Allie Tweed; and a brother: Denver Tweed.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Stuart Albee, the Rev. James Dougherty, and the Rev. Darris Doyal will officiate. Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
The Ladies Auxiliary will conduct a White Rose Ceremony during the funeral service.
Active pallbearers will be David Bailey, Kenneth Pickering, David Broyles, Willie Anderson, Wes Cameron, Andrew Tweed, Melvin Harrison and Eddie Gregory.
Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Henderson, Bobby Renner, Doug Treadway, Jimmy Hale, J.C. Wampler, M.C. Rollins, and Ronnie Cansler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Crusader's Class of Trinity UM Church.
