Harley 'Harlo' McCamey

Died: Jan. 26, 2013

MORRISTOWN -- Harley W. "Harlo" McCamey, 74, of Morristown passed away Saturday.

He was employed by Berkline for 55 years.

Mr. McCamey was of the Baptist faith.

He was a true sportsman who enjoyed playing ball, horseshoes and golf over the years of his life.

Survivors include his wife: JoAnne McCamey; children: Debra and Paul Witt of Morristown; Steven and Rotorua McCamey of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Melinda and Kenneth Tweed of Jonesborough; stepchildren: Kandy Johnson of Seymour and Robby and Lori Johnson of Dandridge; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers: Claude (Novella) McCamey Jr. and Andy (Anna Mae) McCamey of Greene County, Edward and Jean McCamey of Concord, N.C., Charlie (Joyce) McCamey of Mosheim, and Leroy (Janie) McCamey of Chuckey; sisters: Ruth Eddington and Aileen (Fred) Rader, all of Greene County; and several nieces and nephews, mother-in-law: Pauline White, and sister-in-law: Dorothy Brown all of Morristown.

He was a son of the late Jennie (Carmichael) and the Rev. Claude McCamey Sr. and was preceded in death by a son: Harley McCamey Jr.; and brothers: A.J. McCamey and Howard McCamey.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home with the funeral service immediately following visitation. The Rev. Charlie McCamey and the Rev. Terry Bunch will officiate.

A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bethesda Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steven McCamey, Robby Johnson, Paul Witt, Jerry Eddington, Chris McCamey, and Lynn McCamey.
