HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio -- William T. "Bill" Parman, age 91, of Huber Heights, formerly of Greeneville, Tenn., passed away Monday at Spring Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
He was the son of the late Willie E. and Gladys Morgan Parman, and was preceded in death by one brother, Harvey; and one sister, Norma Jean Parman.
Bill retired from Chrysler with 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife: Nellie Parman; special cousins: Barbara and Tom Troutman of Virginia and Ronnie and Mable Wilhoit of Tennessee; and many great friends.
Bill was born April 30, 1921, in Greeneville. He and Nellie moved to Dayton, Ohio, in 1951 and were one of the first to move to Huber Heights.
Bill served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II.
He was a life member of VFW Post No. 3283 and AmVets Post No. 464, American Legion Post Nos. 200, 40, and 8, and Eagles in New Carlisle.
He was a 36-year member of Huber Heights Lodge No. 777, F&AM.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 8 p.m. The Rev. Jimmy Fillers and the Rev. David Gibbs will officiate.
A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in River Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Greg Bowman, Mike Bowman, Bryn Bowman, Lonnie Bowman, Cotton Broyles, Sport Broyles, Randy Houston, and Arran Tarlton.
