John Brooks “Jack” Laughlin, 78, of Greystone Road, passed away Wednesday evening at his home.
He was employed by M&M Supply Company for 33 years and the Greeneville City School System for 12 years.
He loved his children, classic cars, NASCAR, and his special companion, his cat “Miss Kitty.”
Survivors include his children and their spouses: Sherry and Dennis Mallon of Goose Creek, S.C., Eddie and Linda Laughlin of Greeneville, Debbie Kay and Junior Harris of Mosheim, and Debbie Ann and Wayne Childress, Bobby and Vickie Laughlin, and Johnny Laughlin and his partner, Vickie Fox, all of Greeneville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters: Nell and Howard Prueitt and Pat and Bill Renner; sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law: Barbara Faye Harrison and Rex and Mary Harrison; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Louise Harrison Laughlin; and parents: Guy and Winnie Laughlin.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with interment to follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be his family.
Honorary pallbearers will be staff of Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice and the Rev. Lynn Mercer.
