Carol Wilhoit, 80, of Chuckey, passed away Saturday Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Wilhoit worked 20 years at Magnavox and 20 years at Greene Valley Developmental Center.
She was a member of the Roby Fitzgerald Adult Center.
Survivors include two sons: Robin Wilhoit and Marty Wilhoit; her brothers and sister-in-law: Howard Jeffries and Ben and Arlene Jeffries; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Wanda and Billy Jeff Burns, Carole and Ray Ellenburg, Gene and Charlotte Wilhoit, J.D. and Katie Wilhoit, and Haskel Wilhoit; special friends: Winnie Lou Doyle, Betty Ridell, Delbert Conner, Bobbi Gooch, Mitzi Bright, Peggy Shaw, Odell Anderson, and Lois Alexander, and numerous other wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Orville R. "Hoover" Wilhoit, who died Jan. 28; brothers: Lloyd Jeffries, David Jeffries, Don Jeffries, and Bob Jeffries; sister: Anna Sue "Bunny" Jeffries Carter; parents: Milburn and Lucy Jeffries; and friend: Mazel McCoy.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Jeffers Funeral & Cremation Service, Afton Chapel, with the funeral service following at 7 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Lynn Neas and the Rev. Walter Isley will officiate.
Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to go in precession to Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery for an 11 a.m. committal service.
Pallbearers will be John Morelock, Ted Wilhoit, Bob Shaw, Joe Brown, Frank Mitchell, and Denver Shaw.
